UX fail. Supermarket layout

Usually we think that supermarkets have everything thought out and panned for where to pace their products to optimise their sales. But despite all the planning they have put in to their layout, they still fail at some simple things, that make it more dogfish Lt to our their customers to stop.

I came across a shelf in my local supermarket awhile back that had cleaning gloves. A small old lady was standing in front of it, looking up at the top shelf where the gloves in her size were hanging. Once she saw me she immediately asked if I could help her reach down a pair for her, because they were too high up for her to reach.

Of all sizes, small isn't the one you should put out of reach of "small" people.

If the hammer had been designed without UX in mind
